Why, hello there!
My name is Lisa, I’m 41 and live in leafy Surrey, in the UK. I’m Wife to Ben and Mama to a totally gorgeous, totally unique little boy, Oscar.

I started writing this blog in the summer of 2013. I had my first and only child in 2012 and when it came to going back to work, we discovered I wouldn’t earn enough to cover the expense. Consequently I took the, what was for me, monumental decision to leave my job and join the legions of mothers who choose to stay at home to care for their children. I had no idea who or what I was any more, other than a mother to Oscar. I had no idea where to go from there.
So blogging became a place to try and find out and it’s become an enormous part of my life. I love what I do, having written over 300 posts so far. I’ve built up a loyal following that grows all the time and I’ve been nominated twice for a Tots 100 MAD (Mum and Dad) Award: Preschool Category (2015 and 2016). If you’d like to know a bit more about me, including why my blog is called mrssavageangel, why not check out this Liebster Award post or this One Lovely Blog Award post.
But really the reason for all that I do is Oscar. This is Oscar. He loves trains and running and chocolate cake. He just also happens to be autistic. In 2015, life changed for ever when we discovered that our gorgeous, cheeky, funny chap, was on the Spectrum, receiving a full diagnosis in February 2015. Some days are easier than others, some days more baffling, but every day our son is just a sweet little guy, full of energy, blonde hair and giggles.
I love to chat, so please feel free to get in touch. You can find examples of the type of press work I have done on my As Seen On page. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
I haven’t got all the answers and I’m certainly sure I make mistakes. What you read here are my own thoughts and words. It’s nothing if not honest.
Thanks for popping by.
